Yes, I know it's the end of March and this image is a bit out of season. But... I just thought of the joke and didn't want to wait another 8 months for it to be topical again.

The characters are from Inu-papa's memoirs on my site ([link]) and from left to right are: Inu-papa (as a kid), Akagane, and Yachouon. The image itself is one big pun due to a pair of bells playing a rather important role in the story, and Akagane becoming unfortunately associated with buckets in the forum commentaries. And, no, the characters don't wear these outfits in the memoirs given that it takes place in Heian Era Japan, but since two of them are barefoot in their normal clothing, I figured everyone could get a modern upgrade to save their little toes.

Lineart was done in Flash, while all coloring was done in Photoshop. I'm particularly proud of how Akagane's goth boots turned out given that I usually suck at feet, but their dark coloring obscures a lot of the detail, and I was annoyed that I spent all that time drawing the individual treads on the bottoms only to have them buried in snow. x__X
